Martin Porthouse
Martin is a Director of Exchange Street, specifically accountable for Loss Adjusting / Claims but also responsible for the general development of the business, incorporating other divisions and group companies.
Martin commenced his recruitment career in 2005 working for a global firm, successfully setting up and developing their Loss Adjusting & Claims division from a standing start.
Prior to entering recruitment (1998-2004), Martin was a Director and Shareholder in a well-known ‘Insurance Replacement’ company, successfully servicing national Insurer and Loss Adjusting clients in respect of replacement goods for household claims. Before this, he worked as a General Property Adjuster (1990-1998) in the North West, handling both domestic and commercial property losses. He worked for McLarens Toplis, Garsides, Davies & Co and Miller Knight / Miller Fisher.
