Financial Planner

You want to be a financial planner. Just not yet. For the next couple of years you want to pass more exams, learn more and be, well, more "ready".

But at the same time you don't want to drift. You want a plan, a strategy. For a company to tell you how your career will develop with them and when you'll be a financial planner. Vague promises won't do.

If your current firm can't do that, this one can.

At this business you'll start as an administrator or paraplanner. But in around two years time you'll be a financial planner.

And they can deliver on this because they've already done so with three other people before you. All joined to provide support to the planning team but all three are now at varying stages of their advice career.

To start with you'll work with a senior planner who will help unlock your potential whilst you support them day to day. In the medium term you'll develop into a planner and they'll pass you some of their clients. And with existing clients typically in the £250,000 - £1m range, you'll pick up some great clients.

Salary will depend on the individual. But you'll have a salary of up to £45,000 and will join the company bonus scheme. Alongside that your pay will be under review - as you develop your career so your salary will increase.

There's also an extensive benefits package including:
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Share Options Scheme
  • Pension and DIS
  • 25 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays) per annum
  • Employee Volunteering
  • Comprehensive support around qualifications and personal improvement with flexible arrangements for study leave
  • Hybrid working (post-probation)
This is a modern, vibrant financial planning firm with a leadership team much younger than most firms in the profession. So your energy and ambition will be welcomed, not stifled.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

You'll have two years experience in a financial planning firm. That will likely be as an administrator or a paraplanner.

You'll have begun your exams and will have an ambition to achieve Chartered status.

You'll be an energetic team player. Someone who values collaboration and learning from others. This is a hybrid role but you're someone who learns best through spending time with others - being in the office is something you enjoy not tolerate.
